Commercial garbage service is available Monday through Saturday each week with limited services operating on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The City provides modern, efficient bulk container collection system for businesses and industry while keeping costs at a competitive level. The City of Rock Hill has provided commercial customers with quality waste management service for over 30 years. More than 1200 businesses and industries are collected by the City each month.

The City offers a variety of solid waste and recycling services to meet your specific needs. The dumpster container service is offered for commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential collections. Corrugated cardboard, plastics, and office paper recycling are available. Rollcart services are available for small businesses. The Dial-A-Dumpster program provides businesses and residents with dumpster rentals available for cleanouts, construction/demolition debris, and roofing shingles.
The City's commercial solid waste fees are competitive with, and sometimes lower than the private sector. Providing a local service allows quicker response times to customer's concerns with local crews and customer service staffs. The service is under constant scrutiny to provide modern equipment, container upgrades and efficient collection routing. These measures ensure a cost-effective solid waste service for the customers in our community.
Please contact Tim Sylvester, Sanitation Superintendent, at 803-329-5609 for commercial garbage, Dial-A-Dumpster services and recycling services. The Dial-A-Dumpster service is available for $125 each time the container is emptied. An additional $125 rental fee will apply if the container is not emptied within 30 days of delivery.
Commercial Recycling
Corrugated cardboard, paper and commingled recycling services are available for a $10 monthly fee with City garbage service. Corrugated cardboard or commingled recycling service is available for $60 a month with private garbage collection. Recycle roll carts container fees are $70 per container, refundable upon return.
